The requirements for the design of office workstations today are diverse and contradictory: they must facilitate communication and team- work as well as enable concentrated individual work. Economic rationality demands the efficient use of space and streamlined work processes, however emotional qualities and an atmosphere of well-being are also important if the office- worker is to be productive. In response to this, Sedus has developed a new range for open-plan offices. It comprises tables, storage and
communication components which can be freely combined to form any number of different office layouts. Each element in itself is perfect in terms of ergonomics and functionality. Together, all the elements form an integral concept and incorporate an innovative cabling system which allows for completely free office planning. As such, this newrange leaves the office open to endless possibilities – open plan in the truest sense of the word.

The double desk offers double the advantages. On the one hand, more efficiency; as a unit with one shared frame it allows for a wide variety of desk formations. On the other hand, it offers perfect ergonomics, as the frame leaves lots of leg room and the height of each desk can be adjusted separately – a real innovation, even for those working at benches. The Sedus temptation twin promotes communication but, when used in conjunction with the matching desk-mounted screens, also aids concentrated individual work as well. Incidentially, the double desk is also suitable for conventional cubicle offices and can be formally combined with all of the tables in the tried-and-tested Sedus temptation range.
